This vocabulary program has a clean, organized interface and it has nearly 150,000 words. While the program is good, it isn't perfect. We found that many of the word definitions display secondary definitions before the more common definitions. Additionally, some of the words have redundant references.
Ultimate Vocabulary has a variety of learning tools and strategies to help you learn and retain what you've learned. Ultimate Vocabulary is specially designed to adjust to your level of learning, and will keep track of your progress and adapt accordingly.
Ultimate Vocabulary includes at least 50 usage examples for each word. Furthermore, the software includes over 20,000 audio pronunciations (from a real human voice), so you can learn proper pronunciation.
One innovative feature is the Word Messenger, which will help you remember your word list by periodically reminding you in an instant message-like note. You can continue to work as normal while having useful vocabulary reminders run in the background.
Ultimate Vocabulary is a decent vocab solution, but there are better options available. The software has a huge selection of vocabulary words and a variety of learning tools, but we had a few problems actually using the software.
